HIV-STD Resource & Treatment Center
The Mission of the HIV/STD Resource & Treatment Center is to provide services that reduce further transmission of sexually transmitted diseases (STD) including Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and to increase the quality care among those already infected through education, prevention treatment, referral system as well as medical and social services.
The Center is federally funded by Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA) and is in working agreement with these agencies in the setting of the Commonwealth to help prevent and reduce the disease burden of all STDs.
The HIV/STD Resource and Treatment Center offers services such as FREE HIV Testing, Counseling & Referral, STD Testing, Counseling, HIV Primary Care, Outreach and education, and Educational pamphlets, videos, posters, and other materials.
The program currently has four staff that includes:
John D. Moreno - Communicable Disease Manager
Vicenta V. Tenorio - STD Caseworker
Dolores Pangelinan - Clinical Attendant
Melissa B. Camacho- Community Outreach Worker
Luise Q. Noisom- Nurse Practitioner
Nela Prado - HIV Community Worker
The Center is located at BLDG. N-29 in upper Navy Hill.
